Here are some things you may want to know.
Passport
You’ll need a valid passport of 6 months after the trip to be allowed entry into Italy. Be sure your passport is packed and valid. It generally takes 6-8 weeks for a new passport application. Don’t wait until the last minute as it can take longer at times!
Basic Italian Phrases
The Amalfi Coast is a major tourist destination. where many of the locals speak English, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try your tongue at Italiano! To make your trip more enjoyable (and accessible) download the Google Translate app and offline the Italian dictionary. Pick up a few basic phrases to get by.
Accommodations
Our recommended listing of accommodations is under the Location tab above. Make sure your hotel or AirBNB is booked in advance! We’re traveling during peak season on the coast and places are sure to sell out or overprice.
Travel
After you book your flight to Italy, make sure you arrange ground transportation to your hotel or AirBnB. Sorrento is about 1 hour away from Naples (the closest airport). The city can be reached by car/shuttle (about $20) or train (about $10), but you’ll want to know how you’re getting there before you land. Leave the ground transportation for the day tours to us, but you should be prepared to take care of your own initial arrival and departure transport. Rome2Rio is a great resource to plan for this.
Wedding Attire
The weather is expected to be warm and sunny during our wedding weekend. Make sure to pack light and airy clothing, but definitely have a light jacket close by. see your personal wedding page to view colors.
